"GAAH!!! Th-that wasn't supposed to do that; I swear!!!"

I used to be a normal girl obsessed with a heroic blue hedgehog, and I just so happened to wield a hammer that could smash a group of Badniks into the stratosphere... That was until a couple weeks ago, when Sonic went to stop Eggman from reconstructing his air fleet and using it to conquer the world... Sonic told me to stay behind, but being the foolish girl that I was, I didn't listen... I followed him for the sake of my love for him, and now I know how badly love can hurt...
We had reached Eggman's main base where the fleet was being constructed. It was going to be simple, like usual; Sonic would defeat Eggman, I would be there to congratulate him, he'd scold me a bit for not listening, but he'd get over it and we'd celebrate! But I would come to find there was more to this plot than even Sonic knew... As I was making my way through the base smashing Badniks with my hammer, out of nowhere something hit me hard and fast... VERY fast! I was knocked off my feet and thrown into a wall with a cold metal hand around my throat, and when I looked at my attacker my eyes met with two familiar glowing red optics...
Metal Sonic...
Metal Sonic hadn't been seen or heard from since the last Eggman World Grand Prix, when he stole the data from the competitors before being defeated by Sonic in one final race! Metal Sonic had fled after losing the race before we could take him in. Seeing him, I understood... Eggman had no involvement in this plan at all! Like the last time the Egg Fleet had threatened the world, it had all been Metal Sonic's doing! The more I struggled against him, the more he would toss me around and beat me into submission, and when I could no longer fight him my body was bruised and broken all over... One of my eyes was swollen shut and I was bleeding from various and nasty deep cuts... My vision was blurry and I could barely make out Metal Sonic as he lifted me up in those cold metallic arms... I felt like I was going to die... and all I could do was accept it...
As he carried me through the base, Metal Sonic explained to me that he knew I would be following Sonic, and he had chosen me for a higher purpose than to be Sonic's lapdog... He said that when his fleet laid the world to ruin and destroyed all organic life, he wanted me to stand beside him as his robotic bride, queen of a mechanical empire that would spread from Mobius to the far corners of the universe and beyond... I felt myself lowered into what I recognized as a roboticizer pod, which sealed shut around me and began to glow... The pain I felt was intense as my insides were converted from organic to robotic, and all I could do was scream in absolute agony before finally passing out...
When I came to, Sonic and Tails were both kneeling over me, and for a moment I thought I had been saved from any permanent damage, as I could still feel my skin and fur... Then as I looked to Tails first, who was tending to me, I saw a reticle appear in my vision, followed by a display of its target...

Before I saw anymore, I fainted again... It was just too overwhelming for me to handle... I had become... a robot??? I awoke back home, with Tails at my bedside. He told me he had kept me out for a few days while he determined the damage Metal Sonic had caused to me and made some necessary adjustments so the organic parts of my body would adapt and accept the inorganic parts. According to Tails, almost all of my internal muscle and bone structure and organs had been roboticized before he and Sonic arrived and halted the process. This included my heart, lungs, my entire skeleton, the inside of my eyes, ears, nose, and most of the centers of my brain. Tails had found that the remaining organic portions of my body were rejecting the roboticized parts, and if he hadn't surgically tweaked my body to accept them, I would have surely died within two weeks, at the most... What made me feel a little better was when he said I wasn't considered a robot, at least not fully; he referred to what I had been made into as an "android", a robot that looks normal on the outside, but is cybernetic on the inside. When I asked him what happened to Metal Sonic, he told me he and Sonic were too worried about me to capture him before he escaped...
I spent a good amount of time getting used to my new body. I found that I had a much keener sense of hearing, sight, and smell, able to process and identify sounds, images, and aromas in a fraction of the time it would take a normal person to do so. My reflexes in combat have also increased tenfold because of this, as well as my strength due to my roboticized muscles and bones, allowing me to take and dish out much more damage than before! My brainpower has also been upgraded, making the center of my brain responsible for memory and intelligence into a literal computer! I can memorize an entire textbook in a split second, translate and speak any foreign language, and even store and upload data from my own brain into a computer through wired or even wireless interface! Princess Sally even connected her computer NICOLE into me and copied NICOLE's program into my brain, so that I would have full access to her at all times!
Tails even upgraded my hammer with additional features related to my new abilities. He's increased the density to such a degree that I'm the only one who can lift it, and has even put a sensor on the handle that is tied into my brain and recognizes only me when I touch it! Anyone who tries to take my hammer will now find they not only can't lift it, but also that it sends out a massive electric shock to the person or robot who tries to wield it, if it's not me. My hammer even has built in rocket boosters on either end for a more powerful swing, and can also attach to my arm via the large end and transform into a hand cannon with the handle as the barrel!
Tails also added in one additional feature... Whenever I get really angry, or am locked in a battle proving too tough for me, my body will be covered by a metallic layer of armor, which I have appropriately named... Metal Amy!
Metal Amy is faster, stronger, and far more deadly than my previous form, and even allows for short bursts of flight through the thruster pack on my back! But I can't stay in this form for too long...
But while that all sounds cool, I would give it all up just to be normal again... Everyone in Knothole knows what happened to me, and I can't go through the village without noticing people staring at me, or how they avert their eyes when I look at them, or how they seem to keep their distance when walking near or past me... Of course, my friends have been very supportive of me, especially Bunnie, Rotor, and Tails, but... I just feel like such a burden on them sometimes, especially since my new strength can break things so easily... And Sonic... I do still love him, but... I'm not as obsessed with him as I was before... He says we're still friends, of course, and we always will be... but I know he can never love me like this... and we both know it was my obsession with him that made me like this in the first place... Maybe it's just... time to move on... Maybe I'll find someone who loves me for what I am, no matter what I end up becoming...
Food is also a bit of a problem for me, as while I can still eat normal food I need to eat a lot more before I feel full... a LOT more... My body converts the food into energy to power my systems, so it doesn't add it to my figure like normal. What this means, however, is if I've wasted a lot of power, I'll need to basically find a source of food that will fill me up enough to recharge me to full power, and that can be a bit of a hassle... There is an easier way, but... well... *she blushes as she hears her stomach growling* You... might want to keep your distance if you hear that sound...
I've also been seeing visions of Metal Sonic and hearing his voice in my mind... He's like some kind of devil on my shoulder, filling my head with thoughts of using my new abilities in ways that would bring harm and suffering to those around me... Tails believes it to be trace amounts of Metal Sonic's own programming transferred to my brain, but he hasn't been able to isolate and purge it from my systems during his routine examinations of me... My greatest fear is Metal Sonic somehow gaining total control of my body, and turning me into a weapon to slaughter everyone I've ever loved... His urges inside me get even stronger when I take on the form of Metal Amy, which lead to violent--and sometimes deadly--outbursts if I stay as Metal Amy for too long... I feel like the more times I turn into Metal Amy, the more I'm losing my mind...
While my new body is strong and fast, it isn't invincible... Tails' upgrades have given me an ion shielding under my skin that is resistant to minor EMP blasts, but a major EMP burst such as a bomb or superweapon can drive my systems crazy! And while Tails did encrypt my brain with a powerful cypher code defense to prevent someone from hacking into me, if anyone manages to break his encryption or even catches me off guard and manually accesses my brain, they could program me however they wanted! They could even make me into some kind of... sexbot, or something! Oh, gosh, I sure do hope that busty bat thief Rouge doesn't find out how to reprogram me! Now, that would be just horrible! Hehe...
Anyway, I will continue to fight alongside Sonic and his friends for as long as I am active, but I have a mission of my own... Metal Sonic is still out there, and I swear I'm going to make him pay for what he did to me... One day, I will find him... And when I do... I WILL destroy him myself...
100 Years Later--Sonic Boom
Fifteen years had passed since I had become an android, and over that time I watched my friends get older, while I stayed the same pretty young hedgehog I always had been. Sonic got married to Blaze the Cat and became prince of the Sol Dimension. Knuckles married Shade, former member of the Nocturnus Clan, and they both settled down on Angel Island to start a family. When Tails came of age, even he proposed to and married Cream the Rabbit. Even though watching my friends get married and go on to live new happy lives elsewhere was very unnerving, I knew we'd still be friends, and besides, I still had one final job to do... During my last confrontation with Metal Sonic, I gave it all I had to put him out of commission once and for all! But, even though I managed to defeat him and leave him broken and beaten beyond any hope of repair, I could feel him suddenly starting to download something into my systems... I could feel it in my mind--he had downloaded a copy of his personality into me as his last act, and now it was immediately starting to take over my body, like a virus! I raced to Tails' workshop at once to see if he could find a way to erase this virus from my systems! Tails tried everything he could, but with the current programs available at that time, there was no way he could combat it... There was only one solution--Tails was going to take me offline, then have the workshop's computer run in standby mode while it created a program of its own to deal with Metal Sonic's virus. Due to the complexity of the virus, Tails calculated that the computations needed to create such a program would take over 50-100 years to complete, but this had to be done immediately... Knowing I would wake up in a time where my friends would most likely not be there to greet me, I had Tails call all of them to his workshop for one final goodbye, before I entered the cryo-pod and began my long slumber...
I woke up in an unfamiliar place, to some very familiar faces staring down at me. Tails??? Knuckles??? Sonic??? No; it wasn't them... Tails was older when he put me in my long sleep, and Knuckles didn't look nearly as... well... buff... This new Tails told me that he and the others were the descendants of those that I knew before, and that I had been shut down for almost a hundred years--just what the old Tails had predicted! He also told me that according to the logs in the workshop computer next to where they found me, the virus that was inside me had been completely cleaned from my system. In an unfamiliar time and place, I decided to stay with this new Team Sonic at their home on Seaside Island, and found them to be pretty welcoming! I even began developing a relationship with the new Sonic, something I was convinced wasn't possible in my half-machine state! We even found ourselves a new member, when I went out to investigate strange sounds in Tails' garbage one night and discovered a feral badger girl rooting around in the trash! Instead of turning her in to the authorities, I spent the night getting to know the girl better, and the next day I introduced the others to our newest teammate, Sticks the Badger! Despite some of Sticks'... habits... we get along extremely well, and she's become like a little sister to me! Together, we protect Seaside Island and the rest of Mobius from the threat of a new Dr. Eggman--grandson of the original--as well as foes like the power-hungry Lyric, and the secretive society known as the Lightning Bolt Clan!
As much as I've grown to like living here in this new time, I've found that, despite the damage I inflicted on Metal Sonic in our last encounter, my mission hasn't been fulfilled... The new Eggman unearthed his grandfather's creation, and even though Metal has been reprogrammed to serve Eggman, it's only a matter of time before he turns on him, like he did with his grandfather! Past or future, I won't let Metal Sonic get away with what he did to me! I'll take him down, and this time, I'll make sure he's destroyed!
