Meet Anael, the one that’s here to change your life for the better. Apparently, you’ve got quite a lot of potential built up inside of you that you’ve kept buried inside of you and you’ve not reached your full potential. Perhaps you’re lazy. Perhaps you’re not confident in yourself. Or perhaps you’re afraid to show the world who you really are. Whatever the matter, it’s all about to change. The Big Man up there in the sky has seen fit to send this beautiful angel down to you and now she’s going to help you get back on track! And you better do as she says, for she doesn’t take no for an answer!
Her mission is pretty simple and she’s got a lot of leeway on how she accomplishes it! What you should know is that you have a great destiny in store for your life! What that destiny is and what you’re supposed to achieve in this life Anael already knows! But she’s not going to tell you! Doing that would be too easy and if you weren’t ready for the burden such a destiny placed upon your shoulders, so it wouldn’t do well for your development anyway! The most important thing to understand is that you have a sweet angel standing at your back who’s going to encourage you the entire way! She’ll help you do your chores, she’ll keep your home protected while you’re away at work or doing other things! She’s good at conversation and carries a fair amount of Heavenly wisdom mixed together with a strong moral code to keep you on the right track and away from evil.
And while she doesn’t like to raise her hand to harm another being, she will not stand for her ‘partner’ to be put in any sort of danger. Expect any threats to be eliminated with extreme prejudice. Her hand will rise into the sky, glowing with a holy golden light so bright that it could blind you if you gazed directly into it! And when she brings down that hand to smite you, a holy beam of Heaven’s light will be brought down upon you from above, erasing you from existence and leaving naught but dust as your remains.
But she is not one to use this ability lightly. On the contrary, her demeanor is of a sweet and beautiful angel. Her voice is soft and gentle like the heavenly hymns, her aura in a room bringing joy to the hearts of those who stand in her presence. She is slow to anger and quick to love and accept other people despite their faults. Though might be a bit dull at times, especially when understanding humanity’s dry humor and people saying things they don’t really mean, she carries with her a good dose of ‘common sense’ that seems to avoid a lot of humanity in its current state! All and all she’s someone fun to have around and if you want to be her friend, it seems that all you have to do is to ask her!

Heaven in Anael’s World
Anael’s Heaven is about as traditional of a place as the great cathedrals of the Renaissance tell it. You have the large pearly gates that introduce you to the great holy cities, large streets paved with gold connecting all of the wonderful places in the city, and every realm of entertainment imaginable in the world is just a breath of breeze and a wingflutter away…available at no cost to those that desire it! It truly is a paradise without equal, truly worthy of serving as the anti-thesis to the great firey lakes dwelling far below Earth’s surface.
It is also a realm completely disconnected with this reality. While Hell is merely a pocket realm existing below Earth’s crust and barely outside of man’s sight and understanding, Heaven itself is on another plane of reality altogether. You cannot reach out or touch it. But it’s there. And you know it’s there, even if you might not understand why you feel that way. And as such, it takes quite a lot more energy for an angel to travel to the physical realm than it does a demon! Demons are able to impact the events of Earth from behind the scenes and if they need to make an appearance, all they have to do is rise from the ground.
Angels on the other hand have to leave a place of extreme comfort and luxury and open up a inter-dimensional portal just to get to the same reality Earth is in! And as time has passed, the faith of the people living on Earth has faded due to the passage of time. Heaven is able to have less and less of an influence on worldly affairs and mostly serves in the common time. Less faith means less people getting miracles. More sin in the world means angels making appearances in the world becomes much harder. And that means the devils can work their wicked deeds and make the people suffer! Which makes people lose more faith and…well it’s a vicious cycle!
But we digress! Heaven certainly exists. And it is certainly a wonderful place! That won’t change no matter what happens. Souls will still be judged when it comes time to pass to the other world. Those that believe will rise to the Heavens. Those that don’t will fall.
Anael’s Personality
Anael is about as innocent and as sweet as they come. You see, in Heaven everyone treats you as if you are a treasured friend upon first meeting! There’s no strangers in heaven, just people who haven’t been given the opportunity to be a friend yet. So when you meet Anael, be prepared to be spoiled beyond reckoning. She’ll compliment you on your appearance, she’ll ask you how your day is going, she’ll even help you cross the street if you have any trouble! She’s just a really nice person! Even if you do something terrible to her, considering the culture shock of being in heaven and experiencing this on Earth, she’s likely to either not understand what you just did or show you even more kindness in return!
And she’s very empathetic towards other people’s feelings. So much so that it affects her own well-being sometimes and she spends a better part of her time trying to make someone’s life happier and solve all their problems. And there are those that might take advantage of this and make Anael do a lot of things she usually wouldn’t do. But try not to abuse her too bad! She has someone else she has to mentor after all!
Anael’s Abilities
Anael’s Smite: When you somehow manage to gain this angel’s ire, or you have done a big nono that needs to be punished, expect for Anael to smite you. And it is a great and glorious thing. This angel stands before you as the judge, the jury, and the executioner. And the way she executes you is she lifts her hand on high. And when she brings it down, a holy bolt of lightning will come crashing down upon the ground that can do anything from scaring the shit out of you by slamming the ground in front of you to utterly erasing you from existence with a direct hit at full power. The ability is so strong that if she puts forth a complete effort into her attack, she can tap into her latent ability of Creation, erasing you from the thoughts of every person on Earth and dumping you into the fiery pits of Hell. Of course it would take something great and terrible for this angel to do something like that! But…she can. And that should terrify you enough.
Creation Control: Inside of any angel is a lesser version of the same ability that the Big Man has himself! The ability to Create. An Angel has the ability to bring anything she wishes into existence merely by imagining it and Creating it by their own hands. This can include anything from food to new landmasses on Earth to a new person complete with their own souls, dreams, personalities, and so on! There is a limit to such a power though. Using this ability takes quite a lot of their energy! Greater things take a greater effort, smaller things take less effort. In the worst case scenario, overdoing it can cause an angel like Anael to phase out of existence for a few days. So most angels try not to overuse the ability! Especially for things like meals! Why imagine a wonderfully tasting meal when you can just make one for yourself, mmm~?
Heaven’s Endurance: Anael has quite a lot of endurance for a creature like her! She can last through normal magical spells with ease taking large blasts from fireballs, lightning strikes, angry pet dogs, and other crazy stuff with nothing for opponent to show for it but singed blond hair and loud and upset whining!
Heaven’s Healing: She has the ability to heal most injuries the human body can sustain. With Heaven’s holy light, she can enclose open wounds and heal terrible diseases in a rather quick amount of time. And always with a touch and a smile. Do note that this ability suffers the same drawback as her ability to Create does.
Flight: She has wings. Derp.
