Amazon_Religion

The Amazons of The_Amazon_Isles believe in a cycle of reincarnation and becoming one with the cycle of life. The amazons know and accept their role as prey. Knowing their consumption will come in time. As such they believe that their body becomes part of the predator and the land, strengthening both. This moves the cycle of life forward and in time their soul will return to be born once more. Sacrifice is also a very important part of their religion. The gods that the Tribes worship are alpha predators whose presence protects their villages. As such being sacrificed to your own god is seen as an honor, as you strengthen it and protect your tribe with your sacrifice. On the other hand, being sacrificed to another tribe’s god is a dishonor, as it strengthens the god of you enemies (Pictured to the left). These sacrifices often come with quite the ceremony before hand. The sacrifices are first fed and cleaned. Then afterward, are all taken to a large bed chamber where they bond and make love to one another. They will then be sacrificed the next day. This is seen as a sort of final act of life between the sacrifices, who will all soon be bonded for all time as part of one creature. These ceremonies are often overseen by Amazonian Shamans.
