As the main prey species of
The_Amazon_Isles, Amazons are often consumed by a wide variety of large predators. They are nutritious, large in number, and physically weak by comparison to the predators of the Isle. Digestion is by and large the most common death for an Amazon, and it is rare for an Amazon to live into their late 30’s much less their 40’s. In fact, the average life expectancy for an amazon is to their mid-twenties. The predators who prey on Amazons are generally feral in nature, many large flora and fauna consume them on a regular basis. However, not all predators on the Isles are feral, and may species of large demi humans such as Arachne, Lamias, Mermaids, and the like frequently eat amazons. Often these demi humans also become gods of various amazon tribes and understand the importance of protecting their steady food supply. For an Amazon being prey is a fact of life, and most understand that their end will often be a gurgley one.
