Why is my name so hard to pronounce? It is sounded "A-lue-nasta" is it really that hard?
Not everyone is as lucky as Alu, to be killed in battle and resurrected to serve the Lich King in undeath... Then again it's not too lucky either.
Originally a paladin that followed the ways of the Holy Light, her life was cut short at the hands of the Scourge, a massive undead army whose sole purpose was to spread death and disease throughout the lands of Azeroth, when their outpost was suddenly attacked. Not only was the entire town, citizens, paladins, even animals, slaughtered in a matter of minutes Alunasta was brought back as one of the very same creatures that had ended her life, though it seemed that she was destined for even further torture. In undeath she didn't serve as a mere zombie or ghoul, no, she was a Death Knight. Those who were deemed worthy were given power and magic over disease and ice, capable of destroying entire armies with but a small handful of their own. But she didn't serve willingly, she had no free will as an undead, her consciousness sealed away in the depths of her own mind while her body was forced into the service of the Scourge's master, the Lich King. She knows not how many she has ended by the blade of her sword, how many cities were burned to the ground by her and the other Death Knights, nor how many souls she damned to dwell within the walls of her runeblade. What she does know however, is that she was able to become free. During the war between the living and the dead, the Lich King grew weak, weak enough so that she could free herself from the torture of servitude. Her mind gained control over her body once more, and she once again was able to feel somewhat alive. Though when she tried to return back to her home she was called a horror, an abomination, something to be ended. Without a proper home, the Death Knight works as a mercenary, moving from town to town trying to find work. After all, even the undead need to eat. So don't be surprised if you shake her hand, and it's cool to the touch, or hear about a icy phantom that roams the wilderness, scaring many a wanderer. In reality she's a nice girl, though she's developed a thick shell over the years, so give her a chance won't you?
