Aleric

He is the epitome of the anti-hero, one that would much rather tend to his daily life then to get into the affairs of politics and heroics. Not to say he hasn't ever saved a small town or walloped a brute in a tavern dispute, but those tend to be acts of passion and spur the moment things than actual effort and dedicated intent on his part.

Aleric is a wandering swordsman that is approaching the equivalent of his '30s' were he a full-fledged human, and standing at a fair 5'6" ( He's a half-Elf of 52 years of age. ) Experienced in a wild array of skills useful to personal survival and warfare, despite a childhood that started out as a villager that helped tend to fields. The reason for leaving his home village? He can't quite answer it himself, other than an apt "Got a stick up my butt about leaving... So I did." He's been on his own ever since, other than the occasional short stint with a traveling partner or lingering long enough in villages or towns he passes through to form friendships.

He travels with what he finds worthwhile to carry, generally the armor on his body, a pack filled with a scant few changes of clothes and slight tools for camp or quick medical concerns, and even a book of sorts to read through. Weaponry appropriated over the years of common quality, with his only true prized possession being a sword of lesser runic quality that he was given from his boyhood friend's father. ( Neither of them needed it, so was given to him for likely use. It's proven helpful. ) Being a half-Elf, he is capable of a few minor spells, but don't expect them to be of considerable use. He admits to never having shown much interest or devotion to the mystical arts.

So what does he expect to find out in the world? He's already ran into Amazons and dragons, clans of trolls attempting to feast on damsels, and bratty teen angels that cause a hellstorm of trouble. He just tries to cope with days as they come, and never seems really that surprised by the events of the world.
