At first glance Akemi would appear to be just another cute Kitsune exploring the world, and for the most part She is. She has not had a normal life so far, and it all started being born in the wrong body; No not a mind swap or anything, but a more common affair that affects millions: Gender Dyphoria.

Akemi was originally named Koichi, and was a promising member of her clan, and had been for over 500 years, 521 to be exact. Her troubles began early on, soon after getting her 2nd tail after her 100th birthday, she knew something didn't feel...Right with herself. It took many decades until she stumbled upon ideas of Humans and found a similar problem with some of them.

It took till nearly her 300th birthday before she figured out what was wrong, and it seemed so simple once she realized it, being born with the wrong body for her soul. As fate would have it, her clan would obviously be against her exploring this, having brought it up to her mother only once she learned just how her life would be...

After a fierce beating and scolding to try to dissaude Her from what she knew was what she needed, she bided her time, being low in the pecking order of the clan, her family being a branch family with her aunt as the clan head.

She had started to get wonderfully skilled with illusions in the mirror as she tweaked with what she felt she should look like, though once she was witnessed trying on kimonos in her room while transformed into her current form by her sister...

Word only got out quietly when her sister had asked about it at the dinner table...Her parents looked murderous, and confined her to her room as they consulted the clan head. Her aunt was no more sympathetic to her plight than anyone else in her cold clan, and it didn't take long for the order to come down: Kill herself honorably, or her mother have to kill her instead for their families honor.

When presented with those two options and given a night to do the deed, she spent it in thought, in shock at the callousnus of what she thought was her family, over 500 years growing with them all, doing everything she was asked of, completing diplomatic missions and assassinations alike, yet it meant nothing to them. As the sun dawned Akemi realized she had sat in the same spot on her floor with that tanto sheathed in front of her where her mother had thrown it at her head while giving her the judgement.

With the dawn she felt her mother enter her room, giving her a look that was both anguish and... disgust. No words were spoken as her mother began the second option they were given. Acting on reflex Akemi dodged the knife shaped ice chunk shot her way that was aimed at her forehead, and retaliated on instinct. Perhaps her mother did not expect her to fight back in her shocked state, but was wounded enough by her counterattack of a large ice explosion that by the time she could escape the ice trap she was in, Akemi had a good headstart to flee.

She ran and never looked back, burying those wounds in ice as she tried to go off and live as She wanted, far away from any other clans who would know about her and hunt her down for the bounty surely on her head.

So far that is her story, after wandering for a few years she ended up in the strange dimension of the park where she has idled ever since, not knowing what to do with her freedom.

Her current appearance is but an illusion, a skillful one, but an illusion none the less, While she could use a tranformation spell to have the proper appearance, in any intimate situation she wouldn't be able to hold up concentration for it, so she still for now has her male parts, making her feel... fake...
While she is skilled with illusions, Kitsune or magical beings that are stronger than her could see through her illusion if they tried, or at least tell she was using an illusion.
Like previously mentioned, she has to actively keep up her illusion, and if she falls too deep asleep it will fade, neccessitating Akemi recasting it in the mornings.

She can only keep up the illusion most of the day, not all of it, and it is very draining. Some days she is without the more feminine illusion to make her feel better, and is usually due to overworking leading to a lack of mana. Course she doesn't wanna walk around in the form she doesn't feel is her own...

Her life so far has given her rather severe depression, and some days she wished she had taken the first option she was given..

Got a job on a trial basis at the Hala_Hot_Spring! Unless it's owner decides to get rid of the sad kitsune.

Become Assistant Manager of Hala_hot_Springs after it's owner's willful devourment... With the new owner being her brother Tiezen

Has grown closer and started dating the older Kitsune Khaydarin~

Is now married to her long time girlfriend Khaydarin!
