Ailynn

Elves haunt and protect the woodlands. Creatures of ethereal grace and beauty, almost supernaturally agile, friend to beast and fowl...

And then there's Ailynn. She was never any good at woodcraft. Sleeping under the stars is too damn cold. Have you ever smelled a badger? In other words, she just wasn't cut out for her race's stereotypical lifestyle. So she didn't stick with it; she ran off at a relatively young age to more civilized lands!

Well, to a given degree of civilized. The city is certainly large enough to contain a bustling, mixed population of humanoids. Mostly humans, with a smattering of dwarves, other elves, orcs, and all manner of demihuman crossbreeds. One more elf doesn't stand out at all. She was free to seek her fortune, away from all that....nature....stuff.

Which she's entirely failed to do. She's no famous adventurer or noble, she has no treasure, no amazing magical or fighting skill. Ailynn has landed steady work, it's just not glamorous. She's a serving wench, working in a local tavern. Okay, so she gets enough coin to live off of, a room not far away to call her own, and it's all enclosed in stone walls rather than up a tree somewhere. It isn't a bad life. (And it should be noted, she doesn't own the tavern. Far from it! She only works there.)

Five and a half feet tall, her 'civilized' lifestyle has lended her a bit more curve in her shape than elves are known for having. This helps in getting tips, but is a pain when it comes to unwelcome pinches. The honey-haired elf with the striking green eyes isn't necessarily against such attention, and might take a patron she REALLY likes back into the storeroom or her apartment for a tumble, but no means no, and enough no means a dagger in the offending hand. She does carry one, just for utility and self-defense.
