Story of Sacrifice
Aiden Veles once was the servant of one of the last demon lords the still reside in the dark places of Nexus. He lived to obey, his masters word, his law and his duty. Then one day his master brought a fresh prize back, a young priestess that he was set to guard; and guard Aiden did for weeks he stood sentinel over his masters prize, and for weeks the priestess watched him. Then one day she began to speak to him. As times passed, he began to speak to her as well and learned that she was called Lilian. The two spent day after day like this, till one day Aiden entered her cell, and she came to him happily.

That night, changed everything. As Aiden awoke with the priestess laying upon his chest, he knew that he could no longer see her so imprisoned. So, he fled with her in his arms from his lord, from his life, and from his past. Many servants lost their lives attempting to halt his escape, yet he was able at last to see the priestess safely back to her home. However, his past would not stay buried, and his sins were well known, instead of being rewarded for her rescue Aiden was imprisoned, Lilian torn from his arms as he was cast into chains. For months he was alone once more in darkness. Till one day a familiar priestess arrive, flying into his arms, as he held her to him.
Even in such happy times, however, darkness dwells. Lilian had stolen the key to free Aiden, and in so doing alerted the guard. Before the girl could even free Aiden from his chains they arrived, blades descending upon the prisoner, as Lilian threw herself between them. As her crimson life fell upon him Aiden's world became engulfed in flame. By the time Aiden had escaped, Lilian was fading, her life all but spent. Desperate to save her the once demon sacrificed his own life, poring what power he had into the woman in his arms, before passing out upon the outskirts of the village. When he awoke, well he had a new perspective to be sure.

Seemed that in giving his life to save hers, he had also given her his own power leaving him little more than a child, and Lilian now the stronger of the pair. In this new state the pair departed, Aiden now finding himself the one that needed looking after, as well as the one that was now being held up by his lover. Though for all the good and ill, Aiden was happy his sacrifice one he would gladly make again.

Personality
Aiden has changed greatly since his time as a demon servant. He now lives with Lilian, helping her as she works in a new town, as the head priestess. As she works to help train other members of the order, Aiden does what he can to both look after her, and not be stolen away by the young women in town for some time with the cute little lamia. Despite his size Aiden is still proud, however, even that wavers in the sight of a taller woman, his diminished size doing little to help him deal with the ladies.
