This is a Soul!
the vital essence of everyone. It looks like a floating ball, around the size of a fist, ans is usually purple. It is soft and really close to a water balloon to the touch. The souls are totally sentient, they can feel, see, hear and smell anything. They can move but it's just floating around, at the speed of an human walking quickly. They can talk and let known emotions through color changes, turning dark blue means fear, red: anger, yellow: joy. They can hardly remember their past life, sometime out of fogy memories but only if they see something or someone of their past.
Souls are supposed to be invisible for the mortal eyes and they can pass trough people but once you actually see one, you can suddenly see the invisble world and touch it. This power is called the Sight.
People with the sight can also consume souls!

Upon death your soul is separated from your body by the great reaper, then, if your sins exceed what you've done of good in your life, it sinks toward hell, the sinfull the deeper you go. However if your sins are not as important as the god you've done, your soul will rise toward heaven, up to the 7th heaven depending on how good you've been. Those souls are called bright souls, they are from blue to white (the brighter the greatest) https://i.imgur.com/x497ZV4.png
Finally, souls that have done more or less as good stuff as bad stuff (or not really either good or bad stuff) they remain on earth and float around.

But why would you consume a soul? there's a lot of reasons:
- There's no fat in souls, and yet they can grow your assets. It's an easy way to grow your chest/ass without gaining a pound on the hips.
- Souls are made of pure Mana, if you turn them into Femcum/sperm it actually make a Mana Potion (yes that's how mana pot are made, gross right?)
- Souls can be crystalized and turned into items, such as gems or dildos.

The main predators of Souls are Demons and Angels tho:

Demons actually hunt Souls to grow their ranking in the demon underworld, they can also churn them into femcum or sperm, they are demon after all, they are supposed to torture sinner's souls. They usually hunt on red souls, those who've been Evil in their lifetime and had sunk in hell, but if they visit the mortal world they can also hunt Regular souls, those aint as tasty to their standards since they did'nt commit major Sins. They can sometime find Bright souls, but those burn them like holy water, it does not provide a demon from snacking on one from time to time but beware the belly ashe.

Angels are supposed to consume souls to make them appart of the divine, either to turn them into part of their holly chest or to make them reach the Final Bliss (amen). They usually consume bright souls, those who deserved such an end, even if some souls are scared and sometime unwilling to let an angel help them to reach the final Bliss. The angels can sometime find a Dark soul. They can absolve their sins by consuming them, but they taste TERRIBLE for angels, often feelinglike they will puke... A huge consomation of dark souls can turn an angel into a demon.

Scenes I like to play:
- A demon/angel catch a bright/dark soul and consume it despite the pain/disgust.
- A flat demon/angel wants to grow in ranks and hunt souls.
- A mage turning souls into interesting things (mana potion, dildo, ect...)
- Soul eater related scene (Blair gets an insta free pass)
- Bleach related scene (Matsumoto/rukia gets free passes)
- Drinking the soul straight out of someone's mouth.
