Gwyndolin is the last born son of Lord Gwyn himself, a son that proceeded to have a life best described as filled with intense hardships. First the fact that he was more attuned to the powers of the moon, a trait commonly seen as feminine - resulting in Gwyndolin being raised as though he was a daughter, the reasoning for such leaving a strong mark for him from the start. Then he would face the trials of trying to be someone his father could respect, even trying to stick to his father's last commands as he went off to prolong the Age of Fire.

Creating an illusion over Anor Londo, trying to keep up the pretense that he can truly handle the weight of expectations placed upon him as he strains to keep to his ideal of what he thinks his father want - perhaps he needs someone guiding him to a better idea, compared to the fate that awaits him if he continues on this path?
