Valos is an ice dragon. Well, half-dragon. A rare breed amongst their kind, as it is seen as a taboo in their culture to sleep with a lesser being. Rarer still is that Valos was born male, as opposed to the all-female race he was born into. For these reasons he was cast out as an infant and thrown into the icy North Sea. Only by sealing himself in ice was he able to survive. It wasn't until 5000 years later that the ice flow he was encased in, drifted to a more tropical climate, and there he thawed out. He had grown very slowly but steadily in that timeframe. Although he was in a comatose state, his dragonic body was able to take all the nourishment it needed from the frozen water; absorbing it directly into his body and converting it into necessary nutrients like some form of photosynthesis. He was found by a wandering band of travelers whose interest were gold and ancient relics of times long past. They were kind to him, and taught him all there was to know. Even the fact that his kind had been wiped out. Though shy and withdrawn most times, Valos has demonstrated that he can be calculating, cunning, and analytical. He is able to carefully look past his feelings and see the real situation at hand. Valos has a very kind heart and several times, his kindness has been used against him. Although those that try to take advantage of his kindness are shown little mercy the second time, usually with them ending up in a gurgling grave. In the face of adversity, Valos has the uncommon ability to shun all emotions and shine a blank slate, thinking three to four steps ahead to clutch the pinch and seize control of the situation. Coupled with his vast intelligence, his detached emotional state is perhaps his greatest asset. Though with every strength there is a weakness, sometimes Valos can overthink things which often times make him look like a fool, and his allergic reaction to gold is nothing short of bothersome to his overall health. Valos is gifted with the ability to create and manipulate ice. Specializing in it and having been practicing it for years, Valos possesses extreme mastery over it, being capable of creating countless amounts of objects for a multitude of uses. Also, according to him, ice magic allows the user to produce virtually anything, granting the user an unmatched creation capability. Valos is an individual resistant to cold and as such is able to take damage from ice and snow-based attacks without sustaining major injury or being completely immune.
