Appearance

Ravyna is roughly six feet tall, lithe and muscular.

Her eyes are feline in structure and a deep sea blue, and have a "bottomless" feel to them which most find extremely hypnotic, as though she can see into one's soul.

Her short fur is silky in texture and a glossy black. Being a female feline her fur is uniform in length, having no differentiated "hair" on her head.

Her ears are pointed and situated on top of her head, adjusting themselves to express her emotions. Her face is not very expressive, but she frequently wears a "cheshire cat grin", her mouth slightly wider than seems natural and showing a mouthful of pointed teeth. This wicked look is mischievous and playful, but suggests a hint of madness. This is her characteristic look.

The inside of her mouth is classic pink, with a tongue over which she has sufficient control to flex it into a point.

She has white retractable claws on fingers and toes

Her flexible tail ends in a leonine tuft.

She possesses wings with black feathers like those of a raven. When fully extended her wingspan is just over twice her height.

There is a small, almost imperceptible scar on her left hip revealed only by a slight mislayering of sleek fur.

Her body is always especially warm, and her breath smells floral, but the particular aroma changes often.

Clothing and Belongings

Ravyna usually wears a set of white silk robes with a low cut neckline which plunges between her breasts to her belly, and is cut to just above her knees. She tends not to stay clothed for long.

Personality

She is quite thoroughly insane, but she is, to use the words of a great author "Mostly Harmless". To her, the ultimate purpose of life is to realize one's nature perfectly, by experiencing as many things as possible, and following every whim. Life is a game which everyone loses, and we are required to guess the rules. She plays in the major leagues, and she cheats terribly.

She loves to tease and manipulate people, but for the most part it's all in fun. Most of her 'victims' are left completely unharmed at the end, except for the occasional psychotic break after being pulled through a mirror or similarly watching reality break down. Even she doesn't know what she'll be doing from one moment to the next. Her grasp on reality is tenuous at best, which is rather inconvenient given that her delusions and wild musings have a tendency to actually become real.

She likes to discuss magic and philosophy, but most people don't really understand her thoughts. Everything is a game to her, literally everything, and the stakes are often life and death. She places no value on the sanctity of life. She tends to impose limits on her own power for the sake of playing a game, and as long as you can keep her interested, it's possible to actually win.

As the saying goes, curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought her back. She willfully seeks out trouble, because trouble means new experiences.

Conversely, she is a "lover" (the word used with heavy sarcasm) not a fighter. Combat and displays of magical power quickly bore her. It is a rare occasion that she will participate in such things. She is inclined to pursue only prey who have no hope whatsoever of escape, and to intentionally hold back when it is her desire to be prey herself. In translation, I'm not a power player; don't try to engage me as one. The purpose for Ravyna's exceptional magical ability to suspend the limitations of reality and allow me to play any scenario without violating the willing suspension of disbelief. Major reality bending magic is almost exclusively played for laughs.

Ravyna is tremendously vain, as are all cats, and a terrible attention whore. “Flattery will get you everywhere my dear.”

History and Identity

Ravyna is the physical incarnation of the cosmic archetype of feline nature. In effect, all cats are based on her identity and vice versa. All you need to do in order to know her is watch a few cats for a while, or perhaps read some of the appearances of felines in literature.

In an odd twist of cosmic relativity, she is also a minor goddess of madness.

She resides in a strange mirror world she created in a gap between various universes, and frequently travels by walking through mirrors.

In Game History

Ravyna has interacted with many of the denizens of Nexus. She and Blizzare are kind of a couple, we suppose. Who knows with her? James_Winstead is her pet. She has a complicated rivalry/friendship with Magical_Mindy.

This freaky feline occasionally opens up a shop known as Ravyna's Shop of Horrors, usually managed by an otter named Marena and Elastic_mage.

After a magical experiment conducted with Blizzare, her appearance has been altered, combining aspects of his appearance with hers. Whether or not she is capable of reversing this effect, she has not thus far done so.

She's gotten into playing with the invizimals which have lately appeared in the park courtesy of Invizimal_Lab.

Powers, Skills and Abilities

She is a reality bender, meaning that the laws of physics do not apply to her in any meaningful sense, and her only limitations are those created by her twisted mind. Dream logic is her only logic.

She is an immortal. Though she is not truly invulnerable, normal physical harm is only an inconvenience to her and she can reform her body at will.

Because of her rather deranged mind, she does not by any means use her power to its full potential. She thinks nothing of turning an entire lake into glass, or stepping from one world to another, but has been known to spend hours picking the lock on a closed door.

Her most common magical workings, and the stuff you're most likely to see:

Shapeshifting/shrinking of herself and others. Since she's only about average sized, she almost always shrinks her prey.
Spontaneous generation of objects.
Teleportation and levitation.
Telepathy. She most often communicates mind-to-mind when her mouth is full, and she can extend this ability to manipulating the minds of others, for effects such as aphrodisiacs and sedatives, making her prey easier to control.
She takes great pleasure in using magic to drive people mad, twisting their perception of reality and making them doubt everything.

Ravyna's World

Ravyna has laid claim to some undeveloped territory at an intersection between universes. There is access to her domain from every world in the cosmos, all controlled by her. She most often travels back and forth by walking through mirrors. She has a temple in which EVERY surface is mirror. She often sees guests in the throne room of the temple. The atmosphere is disorienting because it creates an illusion of infinite space, and the curved glass distorted reflections into twisted parodies.

There is also a small bedroom. Stone walls hung with elaborate tapestries, a massive fireplace, comfortable seating, and a large bed in red silks. This is where she sees more intimate company.

Most importantly, the shop, Ravyna's Shop of Horrors. There are two entrances. The front door connects to magical doors in every world in the cosmos. Find one, and you can access the shop. Beside the door is a large mirror in a gold frame, hanging on the wall. A spell Ravyna teaches her mage customers allows them to pass through any sufficiently reflective surface and use the mirror to enter the shop.

The shop is built of blue flagstone. The showroom floor is illuminated by a chandelier of glowing crystals, and a small window through which is a sunny field of summer flowers. It is always light out there, no matter what time of day or year.

This main room contains all manner of magical tools and nick nacks, anything a mage could desire on shelves, displays, and glass cases. Across from the entrance is a counter, behind which the floor is raised for the sake of the diminutive shop keeper Marena the otter. The back wall holds more shelves, and a large canine skull which seems to watch the occupants of the room. To the far left is a door leading to the "back room", a corridor leading off to several additional doors, which connect the other parts of Ravyna's domain as well as providing private rooms for special clients.
