Nioda is a giant mermaid who resides in the Nexus Lake. Not much is known about her,
as there are only a handful of eyewitness accounts. What is known is that she tends
to appear on or near the lakeshore in search of victims every week. Her hunting
technique involves befriending her prey before dragging them down to what is presumed
to be a cave within the lake that she uses for shelter. Once there, it is theorized
that she takes all the time she wants to taunt and devour her victims. In truth,
nobody knows for sure as no one has been to her lair and returned. Nioda is estimated
to be 100ft in length from head to tail. Her upper half resembles a young human female
while her tail is made up of glistening purple scales. If you encounter a giant mermaid
matching this description, DO NOT MAKE CONTACT! There are eyewitness accounts of Nioda
'lulling' her prey into a false sense of security with her charm and appearance.

"My buddy and I went to the lake one evening to hang out. I went to look for firewood
and when I came back, I saw her. She was so huge! My friend was next to her staring up
at her. She was hauntingly beautiful. That's when she grabbed him dragged him under.

"I was out fishing with my friend, when I saw this giant shadow under my boat.
I thought it was my eyes playing tricks on me, but then she emerged. She was a really
good looking lady, but we knew that I needed to get out of there. I turned my boat
around and headed for the shore, but she plucked poor Tom right out and swallowed him whole!
