What happens to Rinari after 600 years pass? This.

One day, Rinari's quest for glory took her to a derelict ruin in the middle of nowhere. There, she found a bound creature in the rubble who offered to help Rinari on her quest if she freed her. Rinari did not see through the trap, and after freeing her she was captured, enslaved and corrupted into a 'champion' for a number of years, until the kingdom of Coccoren managed to infiltrate the kingdom she was being held in and rescue her.

After many painful hours of rehabilitation, Rinari was purified of her corruption. She felt that she was in debt to the kingdom, and out of her gratitude, she settled down in there and tried to thrived to join the ranks of their military. However, despite showing some proficiency with her weapons, she was rejected by the military on the grounds that she was simply too physically weak and simply too young to join. She took this news about as well as expected.

With her old weapons either lost, destroyed, or confiscated by the kingdom for possibly being dangerous, she had nowhere to go. Without a weapon, she couldn't go on adventures, and she didn't have the patience to wait a couple more years to be able to join the military. Out of desperation, the young elf accepted apprenticeship under one of the kingdom's blacksmiths, a crotchety old man who the elf feared would collapse underneath the weight of his own tools, in exchange for a finely tempered sword and shield. The elf thought it would be simple; she'd help an old man for a couple of months and then she'd get some actual weapons to adventure with. Little did she know that she would spend a better part of the next 600 years in that smithy, perfecting her craft.

When her mentor eventually died, Rinari took over his business, making a name for herself in the Kingdom of Coccoren. Many of her adventures during this time consisted of finding and mining rare materials as well as indulging her newly found hobby of collecting arms and armor from every corner of the world. She managed to attain the status of Royal Blacksmith, providing weapons to the armies of Coccoren during times of war, and, after participating in several of their wars herself, was knighted a 'Lady' by their queen.

What is Rinari doing now? Life in the kingdom has given her a better understanding of the world. While she has grown up, her lust for adventure and valor never really died out, but her allegiance to her kingdom is obvious. She knows she is still far from perfecting her smithing skills, and still goes on quests where she hunts down rare materials and even rarer weapons, no matter how sketchy the details and no matter how great the risk. You can take the tiger out of the jungle, but you can't take the jungle out of the tiger, after all.


Rinari in the Modern Day

Things change over time. Being an elf meant having a long enough life to see the world change before her very eyes. With more and more of the world becoming explored and mapped, and with many of the great beasts and monsters of the world having been slain or integrated into society, adventuring increasingly became obsolete. With the rise of technology and newer weapons, smithing became obsolete, as well. It just so happened that these were two things the elf particularly enjoyed doing. With no one to pass her knowledge onto, the elf took the wealth gained from her kingdom and settled down in a massive manor full of the weapons she has collected over the centuries. Because of her eccentric behavior, and rarely showing her face around the town she lives in, all sorts of rumors circulate about her. There has even been talk about the manor being haunted! The elf waits for the newest adventure within her home, still brimming with youth and enthusiasm and jumping at the slightest chance that something exciting just might be around the corner.
