The Harrower is difficult to gauge. Alien from life and comfortable in death, the necrotic energies of his undead core have altered him to his very thought processes. Expressionless, aloof, hard to understand. His air of uncertainty makes his intentions and actions hard to predict, a surprising strength when force is needed. He is otherwise laid back and relaxed, more focused on work than insults or the concerns of others. He is calm and diplomatic and usually reactive in conversation unless his hand is raised, in which case he asserts dominance instantly. Reapers are fundamentally linked to a state of mind or emotion upon their death; for the Harrower, he is a being of doubt.
Reapers are the Undead agents of Purgatory, working independantly but falling back to their Councils in time of need. They have incredible physical strength, resilience and willpower. An undead core powers them, and the sheer unholy presence is anathema to holy beings. The cores can be tapped into to perform black magic that rivals an archmage, transform into rotting beasts of nightmare, and their powers flare up near angels or divine beings to amplify a Reaper's powers to a new level. The Harrower also boasts a unique ability called Blight; a reality corruption that warps the world and inverts whatever he uses Blight on, though it's considerably draining and dangerous to use more than once every short while.
Death can be stopped. Reapers are Voraphobic by their nature, as a safety mechanism built into their nature. If a Reaper is sufficiently damaged or left to age outside of Purgatory, its current body wears down and becomes weak; lacking their trademark powers and not even able to tap into their cores, and requires renewal of a new body. Atrophy can only be stemmed by the destruction of the Reaper's current body, and to do so requires them to be devoured whole at this weakened state to ensure it's done completely. Once their body is destroyed, the Reaper will be granted a new body in Purgatory at their prime, ready to enforce the will of the unliving and maintain entropy and balance.
