Daphne was, at one point, a mere woman of the cloth in her homeworld. She was a mother whose surrogate children had grown up and moved away, and a head priestess of the lion goddess Aralisi. Known as "Aralisi the Fire", "The Mother Lioness", and "The Devouring Noblewoman", Aralisi is associated with fire, the sun, cats, medicine, vengeance, feasting, and love.

One night, Daphne received a vision from her very goddess: she was chosen from her piety to become a living Avatar of Aralisi herself. Something of a fantastical paladin, Daphne would receive divine abilities from her goddess in exchange for becoming a walking exemplar of the goddess herself. Daphne gratefully accepted, and was transformed through Aralisi's miracle.

As an Avatar of Aralisi, Daphne possesses healing powers, as well as pyromancy, the ability to repulse and cremate the undead where they stand with divine light, and the ability to fool with the mind and senses of others. But these abilities came with a particular cost -- an insatiable hunger. It wasn't long before Daphne found she could eat a banquet in one sitting. Furthermore, her digestive tract became something of a pocket dimension, being much larger on the inside than on the outside.

As such, during her first quest to rid her hometown of monsters, she was stricken with an intense hunger. It wasn't long before, as if by second nature, she was lifting up monsters with her thick arms, stuffing them into her jaws and swallowing them whole. In a savage barrage, a whole tribe of goblins were stuffed into her awaiting belly, being digested alive. What's more, Daphne felt an intense amount of pleasure from it, becoming deliciously full from a belly almost as big as she was.

In time, Daphne found she could do one of two things with her magical stomach. She could either digest her victims alive, using their very sins to heighten their digestion, and absorb their fleeting life energies to enhance herself. Otherwise, she could use some of the absorbed life force to turn her gastric juices into something of a healing hot tub for whoever was tucked away inside.

Eventually, Daphne had made her way to the Nexus through a particularly interesting spell gone haywire. While able to travel between her world and that of Nexus Park's, she has taken a liking to the Nexus.

-Digestive Tract Anatomy-
Within her, the lioness' mouth can contain a human-sized being confortably, able to hold them within her mouth entirely (albeit, her cheeks distend almost comically). Her esophagus (and intestines, if full tour is desired) can also snugly fit her prey within. However, her belly seems to stretch out normally to accommodate her prey, though as mentioned before she can hold a very large amount of human-sized beings within it at once.

The interior of her stomach is bio-fluorescent, and she can cause it to glow with a dim blue color if her or her prey desires it. Furthermore, she can communicate telepathically with someone within her, and she can contain their conscious spirit if desired. Lastly, she is able to resurrect through magic anyone she has eaten and digested.
