This is the story of a princess and the group she travels with...
For almost ten years, the Princess of the Kingdom of Riquita,
Florinda Ramirez, has been adventuring the land. Why? It is her parent's way of letting her see more of the world. After cooping herself up in her tower for a better part of a year or so, her parents began to worry as heroes showed up at their doorstep asking for a maiden who needed to be saved. So, they banished her for ten years, which might seem like a drastic action, but the King and Queen were never known for their reasoned actions.
Not wanting to see their daughter go alone into the dangerous world, though, they allowed her to bring as many of their servants with her as she wanted, but when she threatened to take the entire kingdom with her, the King thought it would be best to limit them to just a couple.
Florinda and her group are a part of the
Speckled Sky.
Fabiola De La Cruz is her closest friend, and her royal advisor. While someone like a princess didn't need a royal advisor, her parents thought that she would be great as practice. As a royal advisor, Fabiola is wise in all matters of the world and naturally has an answer for everything... Even if no one was asking any questions. She is usually found at the princesses side, showing her what this flower was or what that snake's species was, and occasionally does find some pleasure in fighting whatever beasties stand in their way.
You see, while Fabiola was trained as a soldier, her braininess was what got her a job as a practice-advisor. Not that she regrets being dragged along with her princess' exile. She gets to see more than she ever would've by being a soldier in an army.
Luciana Cabelo was her royal doctor AND nurse, and God knows that she worked hard all those years to try to get both certifications. While everyone else with a working head thought that both titles would be ridiculously redundant, only Luciana knew that the only reason that she had studied all those years was so that she wouldn't have to take an assistant under her wing.
Luciana worked in the castle as the chief nurse looking over their poor sickly daughter, and she did take bribes of candy from the little girl so she would back up her story of being sick when the little regal leader didn't want to go to school. This practice continued well to the present day, and she came of her own volition so that she could look over the girl. While the job of a royal doctor AND a nurse paid handsomely, she knew that she had to follow Florinda because she had the best nose for food and medicinal herbs. Mostly food, though.
Giozane Narvaez is a priestess and the token magic user of the group. But she doesn't want to be thought of as token. She took great pains to separate herself from the rest of the magic-using community, and while she may have ostracized herself from them by way of her unique uniform, she can at least say that she isn't the token magical girl of any group!
Giozane, like many others, was suckered into the Church of the Iron Cross. She even got to be one of the chief acolytes before the entire operation was revealed to be a scam. She wandered the world looking for a kingdom that would take her and her strange magical abilities. She ended up being taken by the Riquita Kingdom as a maid, and she was glad to be taken in. Despite being a maid she performed magic tricks for the young Florinda, that almost got her in trouble, and, well, that is the reason she was brought along, really; to amuse and look after the rest. She doesn't mind, as long as she has a job, though she's not thrilled about adventuring the world again.
Neomi Abarca, or, as her friends like to call her, Nei, is one of the girls who came along with her friend out of her own volition, as well as not working for the royal staff. Even as a young girl, she had already become a permanent fixture in the castle, and while she was not royalty she enjoyed herself to the royal lifestyle. Some say that she might have been pampered a bit too much, but she says that she was the princess that just never came to be. She is, in reality, a very jealous girl, but she does seem to share a genuine friendship with the princess.
When she heard about the princess leaving the kingdom, well, she got her stuff together and followed after her as quickly as she could. There was no way that the princess was going to experience something new unless she tagged along for the ride. So while she doesn't really serve any purpose on Florinda's exile, she is her confidant, and she does well to annoy the other girls into submission.
Perlita Arechavaleta has come and it's about time we introduced the antagonist of the profile. Perlita is a spy from a rival kingdom that was integrated into the army of the Riquita kingdom. Having been promoted to a general, she may have just managed to do massive damage to the kingdom if the princess' exile had not been announced. Why she was dragged along for the ride, she did not know, though she knows that the princess loves to pet along her floppy ears.
She hates the princess and all her kingdom stands for with all of her guts though, and often plots her demise in the most demeaning fashion possible. Ruining the family's only heir would of course allow their monarchy to dissolve and allow a new government to be established... Or at least that's how it plays in Perlita's head. She's glad to be around as the group's pet, as it gets her close enough to the princess during her pampered exile.
